50% of final grade

Sustainable Decision Making Exercise.Develop real life skills that are relevant to future decision- making. One of four key themes will be assessed in this unit (1. Natural Hazards 2. Rivers and Coasts 3. Economic Systems and Development 4. Population and Settlement). The exercise will be supported by pre-release materials.

Written exam 1 hour

25% of final grade

Geographical EnquiryConsists of two tasks:1.Fieldwork Investigation (1200-1500 words).2.A geographical issues investigation (600-800 words). This is linked to one of nine topics (Disease, Trade, Ecosystems, Sport, Fashion, Crime, New Technologies and Tourism). This work can be submitted electronically.

Controlled Assessment (This is the new name for coursework and is to be carried out in lesson time under supervision).
