NSW - Western Sydney Institute, providing specialist distance and

2011TAFE NSW RiverinaSupportThe Riverina Institute of TAFE is the
largest provider of post secondary vocational education and
training in the Riverina region. It comprises 20 campuses and
delivers training services foroperators, Tradespersons,
Technicians, Managers and Para professionals in a range of key
employment areas. TAFE qualifications are nationally recognised.
Course guides are available online(www.ritnsw.edu.au) or at your
local campus. Course information will detail possible careers,
entry requirements and special conditions, fees etc.Vocational
Access offers courses in numeracy, language, literacy and
preparation for work skills. Courses offered include Cert 1 in
ESOL, Certificate 1 for Work and Study, Certificate II Generaland
Vocational Education, Tertiary Preparation Certificate Year 12
equivalent course. HSC Studies - Must have Year 10 or Certificate

for some courses.Social Inclusion Unit Teacher/ Consultant Protocol
- Our Social Inclusion services consists of specialists and
consultants with strong backgrounds working with people
whoexperience barriers to education due to cultural, geographic or
social isolation. Our service assists people from all backgrounds
and circumstances to engage with others, to access the
supportservices they need and to chart a pathway to further
education and to employment. The Social Inclusion service is made
up of three clusters based in Albury, Griffith and Wagga Wagga.
Eachcluster consists of an Aboriginal Program Coordinator,
Disability Teacher Consultant and an Outreach Coordinator.For those
students with a disability it is vital to contact the relevant
Teacher/Consultant prior to your client/s enrolling in a course/s.
This allows for people to have an interview with
theirTeacher/Consultant, and if necessary, organise any Reasonable
Adjustment requirements.Students enrolled at TAFE also have access
to a TAFE Counsellor who can assist in career pathways, personal

2011Narrandera Community Health ServiceSupportAlcohol and other
drug counselling, information about alcohol and other
drugs.Outpatient and hospital support for people undergoing
detoxification and rehabilitation for drug and alcohol
abuse.Assistance with applications for rehabilitation is also
provided and a methadone program is in operation.A free,
confidential needle exchange provides syringes, swabs, condoms,
lubricant and disposal for used syringes. Used needle disposal and
a vending machine for FIT packs are available24/7.Crisis care,
counselling, assistance, information, referral, advocacy, court
support, group work and support for young male and female children,
young people and adults who are victimsof sexual assault.Support is
also offered for non-offending members of their families, partners
and friends.Mental health support for 14-25 year olds who are at
risk of developing mental illness through early intervention
