Origin The words kit and caboodle have rather

similar meanings. A kit - is set of objects, as in a toolkit, or what

a soldier would put in his kit-bag. A caboodle (or boodle) - is an archaic term

Google Wave

What the heck is Google Wave?

Email was invented 40 years ago. Give or take a year or two.

Google asked what would email look like if it was invented today.

Wave is a email like tool that brings in all the good things from social software.

I love this product almost as much as I love cookies.

Buzz works as a kind of social media integrator. I am going to add Twitter,Flickr and other stuff.

There are some really helpful tools that use all the time in the accounts section.

Google Account

Google alerts are emails that are sent to you when Google finds a new search result that match your search term. These could be web pages, blogs, twitter comments. I use them to alert me to what people are saying about the library.

This is another great tool that we use to analyze our web traffic.

This is a cross between Wikipedia and Squidoo. Google defines a “Knol” as a single unit of knowledge. A knol page can be created by Here are a few ideas for using Google Knol:

This service let’s you create your own webpage with all the handy gadgets that can made getting information so much easier.

It is simple, just create your own Google account.

This is a service that enhances your existing phone service. The number is attach to you. Not your home, your work or your cell.
