history

* In Spain the subject of technology started to be taught in the Secondary Schools in 1990, with students aged 12 to 17 years

*Among the blocks of content is Control and Robotics

*The Logo language has been widely used in the classroom-workshop to control the projects made by students

*We have always tried to use recyclable materials

*We can see two balls selected robots programmed in Logo

description

* This is a robot whose main task is to classify balls white or black

*The robot is controlled by a program in Scratch

*The machine and the program communicate using 3 controller cards with light-dependent-resitor LDR "sensor screen", which are glued to the computer screen, and by means of a mechanical finger that will operate a keyboard

operation* The arm motor drives the bike wheel.

*The wheel has cams which actuate a limit switch, this allows the arm to stop in white deposit , black deposit and the initial ramp .

*At the end of the arm is installed a "small hair dryer" that sucks up table tennis balls

By loading program costumes on the computer screen ,these consist of bars may be white or black. On these bars will place the LDRs to control the motors. We have 3 motors: ARM MOTOR : to move the wheel.

HAND MOTOR "small hair dryer" , to catch the ball

FINGER MOTOR to move the mechanical finger.

Below each "sensor screen", were placed the respective resistance LDR, to receive the corresponding signals of the screen. Inside the hand also needs another LDR, which is the sensor that will distinguish if the ball is white or black , If the ball is white finger is pressed(it's a logic gate "and".)

1. In the initial position the hand is actuated

2.then the arm is directed towards the white deposit. On white tank analyzes the color. If white mechanical finger touches the key, which allows you to jump to a subroutine. It stops the hand, drops the ball and goes non-stop to initial ramp.. 3. If it's black, the finger does not work, follows up black deposit, the hand drop the ball and will go to initial ramp.

Thanks Master Ramón Gonzalo, we have learned a lot from you!!!!!!

Page 24: Great robot selects balls programmed in scratch

1. creativity

2. motivation

3. Easy to use

4. Easy to share

5. Programming real projects built by students

6. Easy use for all ages

my 6 main reflections to use Scratch in the classroom:

Page 25: Great robot selects balls programmed in scratch

a country without technological education in its educational system is a country in process of underdevelopment

my only reflection on Technology Education:

Page 26: Great robot selects balls programmed in scratch

The XXL select ballsMAYBE,Our future project????

and most importantly, a class of motivated STUDENTS with a TEACHER who will guide them

Page 27: Great robot selects balls programmed in scratch

I also had fun with my family practicing English by SCRATCH
