3 had 100 hands, 50 heads

3 were Cyclops “wheel eyed”

12 were Titans

A Bad FatherUranus- the Heavens hated his

children• He imprisoned the monsters as

soon as they were born• Gaia was upset and asked for

help• Her son Cronus wounded his

father “terribly”. From his blood other monsters were born.

Cronus and Rhea

married.•But Cronus feared a child would overthrow him as king,

•So he ate his first five children!!!

One Child was Saved!•Before Cronus

could eat the last baby

•Rhea hid the baby and

•Gave Cronus a Rock to eat instead!

This was Zeus

• Called Jupiter by Romans

• He became King of the gods

Greeks believed that the earth was flat but round like a paper plate.

They believed that Greece was at the centre of the earth .

The world was divided into three continents Europe, Africa and Asia.Europe was the largest

Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea feature as divisions between the three continents.

What are they ?

Today we have 4 oceans that divide the continents.
