1. Reflection of RepresentationAhmad Wahab 2. Vox popAlthough our Vox pop gave vague answers to ourquestions, I think this is still useful since itaccurately shows the amount of knowledge thepublic has on our topic. This representation allowsus to make our documentary truthful and honestabout what the public knows. Our Vox pop wasmainly done to show the knowledge of the averagestudent on our topic and although we didnt getmuch information, I believed that this was fairbecause if we asked students or people who hadsome knowledge on the subject, it wouldntaccurately represent the public and may make ourdocumentary biased. 3. Expert InterviewFor our expert interviews, we used our knowledge ofMise En Scene. We did this by making the location ofour interviews in a relevant place to our topic or to theirprofession. For our interview with Gavin the sportsteacher we decided to place the interview in the sportshall during a basketball practice, this highlights the factthat he is a sports teacher and therefore would haveknowledge on our topic of technology in sport. We alsodid this with our interview with Matt, a Sports studentbut placed him in the changing rooms. For Nick wedecided to have a picture on the mac that hadrelevance to our topic, and therefore represented himas someone who would have knowledge on our topic. Ithink these were very good ideas since it allowed us torepresent our experts as someone who knew about ourtopic. 4. Media Language For our documentary we used different mediatechniques that we learned from AS such as mise enscene and shot types. We used establishing shots toshow the location of our research/interviews and useddifferent shot types, one that is especially noticeableis our expert interview with Matt where we decided touse a over the shoulder shot as we found that it wouldmake our documentary more engaging. We used ourknowledge of mise en scene to represent our expertsand vox pop as either someone who knew about ourtopic or to give a truthful representation. We also usedmise en scene to make sure that each shot had somerelevance to our topic, for example the picture used inthe interview of Nick.
