Hab i t a t sL.O. To be able to understand that where a plant or animal lives is called its habitat.

Where do we live?As humans, we are able to

live all over the world; in the most adverse conditions. We are able to adapt to our environment – however hostile – as we design clothes and shelter to suit the surrounding area. This protects us from the weather and animals that may be harmful to us.

HabitatA habitat provides an

animal with two important things:

1. Food2. Shelter

It is a safe place to reproduce and it is ideally protected.

A frog in its habitat – the pond. Food to eat – water to spawn – damp air so not to dry out.

thrive?1. Feathers must be

camouflaged from predators.

2. Lots of food, such as worms, in abundance.

3. Plenty of materials, such as twigs, to build good nests for their young.
