FISHERMANThere are many problems that can be taken into account when studying health problems for fishermen. Main problems that have been observed are injuries, musculoskeletal problems, stress, hearing problems caused by noise, skin burns, consumption of alcohol, fatty food, smoking and lack of physical exercise. The most common causes of accidents among hunters are falling from the top deck , and injury during transport and handling equipment on the deck. They have to work for long hours on the deck and get very less time to sleep. An average a fisherman have to work for more than 13 -15 hours on the deck. This causes a loss of stress and anxiety problems for them.

MININGThe health outcomes associated with coal mining community are various, from increased rates of lung cancer to respiratory disease .The use of explosives at these sites causes a great amount of dust which can affect the respiratory health of workers. These explosives are also created from chemicals which have been linked to poisoning. Explosions are also capable of fracturing underground water tables and lead to the contamination of drinking water by heavy metals, mine drainage, and methane gas. Mining is carried out in narrow seams so the miners has to adopt postures which stresses on there joints and back. The use of drilling machines with hands also causes problems and can lead to Reynaud's disease(vibration induced white fingers). The noise made from heavy machineries can also make a person deaf.

GARBAGE COLLECTOR There are many health hazards associated with the garbage collectors, dangerous materials like broken glass and light bulbs are a common cause of injury for sanitation workers, The broken shards are typically placed into plastic garbage bags, which are then lifted and carried to the truck for removal. During lifting or moving, glass or metal blades can cut the hands or body of a garbage collector and result in serious injury. Lifting heavy objects repeatedly can result in spinal damage and a number of physical injuries to them. Garbage contains every type of hazardous material imaginable from battery acid to bleach, from pesticides to needles. The potential for injury, infection, poisoning, burns or respiratory damage is high for the garbage collector.

RADIOLOGYThere is a health hazard associated with exposure to radiation. Exposure to very large amounts of radiation can cause death within days or weeks. Lower radiation level can cause many other diseases if exposed to it for a longer time . Some studies have shown that people working with radiation have a higher risk of problems such as cancer, heart disease and stroke.

AVIATION Pilot or cabin crew may suffer with many diseases including Deep vein thrombosis to hypothermia . Deep vein thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot in a deep vein, predominantly in the legs. It signs may include pain, swelling, redness and warmness in body parts. Pilots can also face Hypoxia . It is a condition in which the body or a region of the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply due to the pressure in the cabin. In addition they may also be victims of stress/fatigue due to high altitude.

CALL CENTRES

People working in call centers have many difficulty in there jobs. They have to face sleep disturbances and associated mental stress and anxiety. There was also disturbance in circadian rhythms due to night shift. Physical problems such as musculoskeletal disorders, obesity, eye, and hearing problems were also present. Psychosocial problems included disruption in family life, use of tobacco and alcohol, and faulty eating habits. People working in call centers have to work in night shifts which causes adverse affect on their health. They have to sit for long hours on computer which causes back pain and many health related problems.
