2. Pop up Book vs 3D Animation A pop up book is a book that when opened the images inside form into paper made 3D model. The first audience for the pop up books where adults and on of the first books was created by Benedictine monk Matthew Paris. Other similar Examples of pop up art are the volvelles, but instead of art poping out, it contains certain movable parts. This is an Astronomicum Caesareum which was used by early astronomers to study the planets and star constellations. This is a very clear example of a pop up book which was illustrated by Andrew Williamson and written by Lucy Kee. 3. Pop up Book vs 3D Animation As everything passes the computer was invented and with it came great innovation. The 3D animations started to emerge. Starting from cartoons, games, movies and Images. Using software instead of hand drawn images and models the 3D world started to become popular. There are different ways to see images or videos in 3D like for example the stereoscopic glasses. These include a blue and red lens to see the 2 images overlapping each other causing a 3D effect. 4. Flip Book vs 2D animation Flip book is a special book whit many different illustrations on each page. if you turn the pages very fast you can see like an animation playing. This is because on each page the same drawing is drawn but slightly different so once the ages are turned fast the drawing appears to be moving. With difference to the present, we now use frame by frame animations and motion tweening instead of flipping pages. 5. Magazines vs Websites Magazines were launched in 1663 in Germany. Magazines are used for every topic of interest in the world. It is electronically printed. The word magazines means a collection of publications in one location. As to the present difference we now prefer to use websites and web based applications instead to read a printed book. A website can offer a lot of interactivity for a user thus making it more reliable and easy to use with todays technologies. 6. Posters vs Videos Posters are very large or small printed papers which are attached to walls, billboards and even cars. Posters are mostly used to advertise propaganda. On the other hand videos are nowadays way to advertise propaganda as almost everyone in the world uses a computer billions of people watch million of videos everyday. Videos can be viewed online or downlaoded on to the computer to watch as many times as they want/ 7. Brochure vs Interactive Brochure A brochure is an A4 sized paper or similar which is bend in 3 times or more. Thus making it like a small book. Brochures are mostly used when selling products or attending to a theatre. It can also be used to show certain services. On the other hand an interactive brochure is a digitalized version of a brochure with user interaction as you can click on buttons and words. 8.
