Definition of the word HOBO

A hobo is a migratory worker or homelessvagabond, often penniless. The termoriginated in the western probably

northwester United States during the last decade of the 19th century. Unlike tramps, who worked only when they were forced to,

and bums, who didn't work at all, hobos wereworkers who wandered. They traveled by train

Biography

He was born in New York in 1894

At 14, Rockwell enrolled in art classes at The New York School of Art

Rockwell found success early. He painted hisfirst commission of four Christmas cards beforehis sixteenth birthday

In the 50s, he was considered as the most popular of artist Americans. He painted his triple auto portrait looking in a mirror

He died in 1978
