Globalization and Technological change have created a new global economy which is “Powered by technology, fueled by information and driven by Knowledge”

Half-life of information continuous to shrink and access to information continuous to grow

Therefore Colleges/Universities must promote “ learning to learn” i.e. the acquisition of knowledge and skill that are needed for continuous learning over the lifetime.
