1. Barclays sponsored cycle lanes

Transport for London is investing a record GBP 111 million this year in initiatives designed to

encourage and improve bicycling in London, and a sizable chunk of that money is going toward

“cycle superhighways,” or dedicated cycle lanes into central London from the outer portions of

the city. Other cities are taking similar steps, of course, given the increasing popularity of

bicycling; what's particularly interesting about this initiative, however, is that Barclays is heavily involved in the effort, lending the superhighways

not just its brand name but even its corporate colour.

2. Canon Pixma: Colour sculptures

Nikon took its Dentsu London collaborate with biochemist / photographer Linden Gledhill for new Canon PIXMA colour printer campaign – ‘Colour sculptures’. High-speed photography

was used to capture colourful formations created when sound waves are passed through

paint. Just a few centimetres high, they are ordinarily invisible to the human eye. However, when filmed in HD with macro lenses at 5,400 frames per second, the physical sound wave is captured in intricate detail. The cross platform campaign was created by Dentsu London and will run online, in print, outdoor and in store.

3. Saw Vii Experiential

Here is a freaky little experiential campaign recently created by Mitchells in Australia for the opening of SAW VII with Hoyts. People could enter a SAW VII

branded photobooth to watch the trailer (at their own risk!) and then get a free Halloween photo taken while still inside. The catch was, that on the third flash, Jigsaw would appear from behind as part of

their photo that was also shown instantly on screen to add a little excitement to the experience…

4. Do you Know First aid?

To raise awareness around World First Aid Day,  ad agency Downtown Partners placed life

size realistic decals of a person at the bottom stairwells in Cineplex Odeon Theatres in Toronto. At first, the decal generates the impression that someone is lying down

unconscious and needs help, but as you get closer, you'll realize it's just a picture on the

floor with a call to action to visit www.redcross.ca for a first aid training course. Let's hope it doesn't freak someone out and

give them a heart attack first.
