Online Terminology
Page Views - Is the number of times the internet site and its
channels have been viewed. In media terms it determines
the number of page views a site received per month.
Unique Visitors - Individual visitors to a website who is
counted as a single visitor irrespective of the number of
times he or she revisits the site. Websites usually rely on
some type of user identification (such a user registration
with a unique password) or an identifying code (called a
'cookie') that attaches to the user's browser in order to
determine the unique number
Impressions - The number of times a banner ad was
requested and presumably seen by users.
Online Terminology
CTR – Click Through Rate %: Click Through Rate is the percentage of impressions that resulted in a click
through. Calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of impressions.
CPM – Cost Per 1,000 Impressions: Cost per thousand is one of the online payment models by which
advertisers pays for every 1000 impressions of their advertisement.
CPC – Cost Per Click: Cost per click is one of the online payment models by which advertisers pays for each
click through made on their advertisement.
CPL – Cost Per Lead: Cost per lead is one of the
online payment models by which advertisers pays
for every lead (registration) completed as a result
of a visitor clicking on their advertisement.
CPA – Cost Per Action: Cost per action is one of
the online payment models by which advertisers
pays for ever action (sale) completed as a result
of a visitor clicking on their advertisement.

An advertising network, ad network for short, is the connection between
publishers and advertisers, it’s the bridge between brands that are looking
for online exposure and publishers who are trying to monetize their
inventory.
