SimpleOutcome Tech Details
• Service can be called asynchronously (i.e. no
session needed)
• Best Practice Security is very fine-grained
(course / resource / user) and revokable
• Tool sends outcome to service as form-encoded
POST data, signed by OAuth shared-secret

• This experiment will inform both the LIS and LTI
working group efforts
• The primary goal is to prototype the ideas and
generate conversations around use cases
• We are moving this specification it into a working
group at our November meeting to take the
necessary steps to formalize this as a specification
