What's life like for a kid with Special Needs?Life can be extra-challenging for a kid with special needs. It might be difficult to do normal stuff like learning to read or, if a person has physical handicaps, just getting around school or the mall. Although, the positive aspect is that parents, doctors and teachers of the kid can help him/her. The goal is to help kids be as independent as they can.

Other kids also can be helped. Kids who use a wheelchair or have health problems want friends. But some kids might tease or make fun of them. A good help will be to talk to an adult about this situation. Being friendly to kids with special needs is one of the best ways to be helpful.

What is the Down syndrome? Is a genetic disorder that implies a combination of congenital defects, including certain grades of mental disorders and characteristic facial mistakes.

In a conversation with special need girls, they remembered their pass through normal education schools. One of the girls was able to finish high school in a normal institute, but she thinks its not fair that many normal institutes keep denying the right for an inclusive education.

The point of view of a person with down syndrome

Special Needs (and what the U.N do)It's estimated that over 500 million people worldwide have a physical or mental disability. In general bases, people with disabilities are denied of education or professional development , also excluded from normal social relationships. People in this conditions are placed in institutions or have restricted access to public buildings due to their limitations and disabilities. Also, they are in legal disadvantage because they dont have an official document that lists their rights. The UN has struggled to improve life for people with disabilities. In 1970 , the concept of human rights of persons with disabilities gained international acceptance. In 1971 was adopted by the General Assembly Declaration on the Rights of Mentally Retarded and in 1975 , the Declaration of the Rights of Disabled Persons, which sets standards for equal treatment and equal access to services that accelerate social integration for this particular group.

The Story of Cristian deppeler

ConclusionWe need to know how to interact with the people with special needs in order to understand what they really need. But most important, we MUST NOT underestimate them. Because even if they have difficulties, they can still do a lot of great things as a regular person can do.
