However, theappearance was not coming out clearenough (after I scanned all 32pages!). So I decided to go back,RE-Scan & maybe play around/changethe setting of the photo beginingscanned before scanning. Finally Ifound a setting that was suitable. Ionly scanned a few this way as a test. After I scanned a few pages, I openedthe photos in Adobe's Photoshop CS4.In Photoshop CS4, I selectedAdjustments, Auto Curves. This gavethe picture a clearer picture thatlooked similar to the picture bookitself. I plan on finishing scanningtomorrow in the setting I foundappropriate and Photoshoping all ofthe photos to make the photos lookclear and neat.

I donot mind using the Power Talk. I couldrecord my own voice reading the text, just like in a vodcast/podcast.However, I am not comfortableenough with recording my own voice.Unless someone else I know isinterested in performing for myassignments, I will most likely usePower Talk. I also finished created ahandout for the DS Office. TheHandout was developed for studentsto order books for their springsemester classes. I will also takehome Clicker 5 & Clicker Paint to

download onto my HOME lab top. Thisway I will be able to read the manualand identify concepts on Clickeroutside of the DS Office.

Trained Student JS in Kurzweil3000and downloaded textbooks on to hisjump drive. I have all of my resourcesand materials ready to createtemplates in Clicker 5 on the topic ofVeterans Day. However it is notworking. I took out the User GuideManual and began to follow that STEPby STEP. But again it was not insertingmy text/graphics. I went onto theClicker website and download/readover Power Points on Clicker 5 & Paintin the classroom. Each PPT gave ideasand strategies on using in theclassroom and what you can createjust NOT HOW TO CREATE. As you cantell I am getting a little frustrated. Itold Dr. Walton and she searched forvideos yet the videos wouldn't play. They were only text boxes listing thesame steps as in the manual. Iemailed the Tech Support from thewebsite and they said it would take atleast 48 hours to email me back. Afterreviewing the samples that Clickerdisplays, I wanted to create templatesthat would be useful for labeling, classifying, unscramble terms, fill-inmissing letters, and so forth with gridtables already developed with theterms and pictures for visualdefinition/cue for students to displaythe term. Most of the terms weresymbols, such as American Flag, BaldEagle, Plane (Air Force), Boat (Navy),and so on. Finally, I decided to take abreak and take the Manual home withme to work on the program at mycomputer. Maybe I will have betterresults. I wonder if I can find atemplate similar in Microsoft Office??!I went back to work on Kurzweil 3000,to read over an article or two for mygraduate courses and then maybedevelop a handout on Kurzweil 3000for future student use. Kurzweil 3000was not responding. Therefore, I

Clicker 5 did notseem to beworking verywell. OK

closed out the program.

I put a folder on Dr Walton's desktopand labeled it BLAIR.Everything that I have created so faris in that folder.

Kurzweil 3000 is a mixture of things. Itis a PDF File with 3 sections. The First section is a PowerPointPresentation that I FOUND online. Ifelt that it gave a great explanationalong with details describing anoverview of Kurzweil 3000.The NEXT Part is a little CHEAT SHEET(3 pages long) That I created for thestudents I was training. The Third Part is something I foundonline that I thought would be reallyhelpful for teachers & students, itcombines SQ3R & Kurzweil.

Clicker PPT Is Divided into 5 Sections-What is clicker 5?-What is new?-Clicker in your classroom-Quick Tips-Additional InformationAll of the SLIDES WITH SCREENSHOTS were taken FROM THECLICKER website. I felt that therewere a clearer visual aid than theones I was creating. Using Kurzweil3000 to read over articles & PPTS onDigital Books. Scanned hard copy offiles into the Kurzweil3000 format.Used Kurzweil 3000 to read andhighlight useful information aboutTrade Books, eBooks, MP3 Books, etc.Saved files into PDF & merged intoONE document to my jump drive forlater use.

Blair developeda trainingpowerpoint onKurzweil andClicker 5. Shecreated anddemonstrated alesson done inClicker.
