According to the Interpersonal CommunicationSkills Test, I interpret others words exceptionally well and can see things from their perspective (Queendom, 2012). 6. POTENTIAL BARRIERS Not Listening Attentively Biased Listening; hearing what I want to hear (Carbonell, 1995). 9. NOISE POLLUTION EXTERNAL Interruptions Deadlines INTERNAL Negative Emotions Negative emotions such as low self-esteem takes a toll oncommunication (Cassineau, 2012). Own Thoughts 10. PLAN OF ACTION Remember to Listen Effectively Avoid conversing in areas where there may beexternal distractions Ask Questions to stay engaged and to increasecomprehension of the conversation. 11.
