Students will demonstrate search techniques for research

project

Students will be able to critique resources and information retrieved from relevant sources

Students will apply and synthesize information retrieved from resources available into their knowledge base, interests, and research needs

Students will leave the workshop with at least one relevant resource or more to apply towards their research essay

Use these questions to refine your search terms.

Have you ever found an article that was perfect? Wish you had more just like it? With a little research you

will.

Footnote chasing is the act of finding citations and references in your current article and using these articles for your research.

Searching Tip

Chase those Footnotes

Research the authors.

This will help you understand their characters.

Take notes on who they are and where they came from.

Incorporate this into your research.
