• Pattern /Definition

• Consistent and recurring characteristic ortrait that helps in the identification of aphenomenon or problem, and serves as anindicator or model for predicting its futurebehavior.

• PATTERN 1:

No change

CUT- CUT-CUT

• PATTERN 2.

• Vowel change

sing/ sang/ sung

• PATTERN 3:

Same present/past part

run / ran/ run

• PATTERN 4

Same past/past participle

send-sent-sent

• Some irregular verbs do not fit in any pattern.

• They are our “rebels”!

• Example: fly-flew-flown
