Is college necessary and is college right for me? Across the United States students are nowsettled in at colleges and universities, nine years ago I was in their same situation. I earned myBachelor's in Criminal Justice, along with it I got almost 20 years of student loan payments anda low paying job I was miserable at. Societal pressures and expectations give us the mindsetthat a college education is necessary for success. We rarely get exposed to another option. Thenew style of online education provides skills for enormous financial success and improvedoverall quality of life through fulfillment and happiness.

Traditional higher education has lost it value

I want to make it clear, a college education is not necessary for success. Online educationprograms are a fraction of the cost and offer a new style of learning that provides real-world

knowledge and skills you immediately implement to create an income. You get to learn by doingand create income while learning, making their value insurmountable compared to traditionalhigher education. So my goal here is to share some quick insight about the problems withtraditional higher ed and make you aware of the huge online opportunity that more and morepeople are taking advantage of.

4 Reasons to avoid the traditional college/university education system

The traditional higher education system is archaic

As a society, we've been forcing classroom learning and standardized testing on ouryoung generations for over a hundred years. Everything in the world has changed andimproved except the style of teaching. Our lack of evolution in education style is anembarrassment and sad especially because human beings have many different styles oflearning. We are not one size fits all when it comes to taking in information and acquiringnew skills.

College is way to expensive

If your anything like me and already attended college then you are well aware of all thecosts that pile up. If you haven't gone the college route then imagine doing this, take$400 of the money you earn each month and throw it in the trash. That's what it feels likepaying off student loans, especially when you end up getting a job that isn't related tothe degree you earned, which is the case for about 73 percent of graduates.

Traditional education doesn't do nearly well enough in preparing youfor the workplace

49 percent of recent college graduates are underemployed or working a job that doesn'teven require a degree. Other studies show that only 23 percent of employers thoughtrecent college grads were well prepared to apply their knowledge to the real world.

College education does not equate to big salaries

Although only 15 percent of 2015 graduates reported they expected to earn 25,000 dollarsor less in their first job, almost 45 percent of 2013 and 2014 graduates reported earning25,000 dollars or less in their first job. This shows a big disparity between what studentsexpect and what they actually receive from a college education.

The truth is our world is changing fast and it will continue to change. We have to decide to eitherkeep up, put ourselves in positions to prosper and create the world we want to live in. Or simply

There's a digital economy that began with theinternet. The people taking advantage of thiseconomy are considering this window ofopportunity to be a digital gold rush. I realizethat makes it sound like a big cash grab andthere is substantial income to be made but it'sa lot more than that. It's about living the lifeyou want and creating your income aroundyour passions. The truth is there's hard workinvolved but the work is entirely based onyour interests and what drives you as aperson. There is not a single standardized test you will have to take. You can learn at your ownpace and on your own schedule. The amazing community of like-minded people wants tosee you succeed and will help you achieve your goals. You learn by doing, there'sguidance every step of the way, which means there's always someone that can answeryour questions and point you in the right direction, we focus on collaboration instead ofcompetition. The knowledge comes from doing the real life income producing activitiesthat are necessary to create a product or business in whatever it is you wish to do.

One last thing I want to mention before wrapping this up. The amazing thing about these onlineprograms is they don’t just fill your head with a bunch of different knowledge. They provideincredible value by taking you through a journey and turning you into the best version ofyourself. They allow you to focus on what you want to learn and then give you the knowledgeand tools you need to market yourself, enabling you to create an income based on who you areas a person. I have experienced both forms of education, and believe traditional higher education isimportant for some people. But for the vast majority of us the simple answer to the question iscollege necessary has to be, absolutely no, college is far from necessary in the world we areliving in now.
