This help file shows you the basic steps to creating a new page in the sitegroups section of Isocentre. To learn how to edit a pre-existing page – see the file on Editing pages.

1. Make sure you are

logged in.

2. Choose the Sitegroup in which you want to add the

page by clicking on it.

I chose the Data and Research Design Sitegroup and now I am on its homepage.

This box is the recommended way to add a new page in this

Sitegroup. 3. Type in a name for your page – (don’t

make it too long and avoid punctuation). Then click on the

create page button.

You will now come to a page that looks like this.

4. Type in a title – this can be a long name and should

convey the subject of the page

5. Type in the content of the page here.

Use the formatting buttons above to format the text.

Once you have type in

the content…

6. Preview the content before

you save changes.

7. This is the Preview page. Note the pink window that reminds

you to save changes before you go away. Scroll down and click the Save Changes button when you are happy. Your page will

then be online!

8. One more thing before you leave – add some subject tags to your page. Click on the Tags

link.

9. Type in one or more page tag

keywords that relate to your page – each tag can be only one word separated by

spaces

When you save your tags you will see them reflected here. You will also see Page tags and

a tag cloud in the left side menu on each

page.
