Proposed support programsProposed support programs• 1. DRRM StudyDRRM Study. . --The mission to build a school and a community is

a noble endeavor. But with the school and community situated along coastal area facing south China Sea, this is a potential risk. The growing size of the school and community in terms of infrastructure and population also poses aggravating factors when faced with natural hazards. And with Typhoon Ondoy's effect last year, about 8meters of land corroded, reducing the present shoreline. These are but some of the facts that makes JHLSIS a potential community to be studied.

2. SME ProjectSME Project. –JHLSIS as a mission school is dependent on donations alone. A sustainable livelihood program can help JHLSIS (or a viable ICT enabled fund-raising and donations system). But it entails teaching the members of the community how to go about it.

3. Community adoptionCommunity adoption. . – Any private organization’s social action arm may also consider adopting and supporting JHLSIS on a long term basis. Instead of looking for different communities, your office and employees may support the other welfare needs of the community.

4. Teacher Training ProgramTeacher Training Program. -- Environment agenda is pushed and fused in the curriculum of JHLSIS. This is a very good move. But they do not have the expertise and rely on other LS constituents and institutes for advice. There is also a need to train their teachers in teaching delivery and mastery of the other subjects.
