“JOE AND CARL”

There was a boy who is simple but a bit weird. His name is Carl.

In school, he took a very long time answering a quiz, but actually it is only a 10-item quiz.

The quiz is about saving Mother Earth.

He wrote “When you need to plant a seed you have to water it with contaminated water.”

Oftentimes, he would write random things that are not connected to the question. When he passed the paper, the teacher rated him ffffffffffffffffffffffffff- (super F negative). Then, when he found out the result, he was very happy.

Then he met Joe, a very smart person and also weird. They are classmates. The teacher told them to make activities about promoting and saving the Earth. Carl told Joe “We could be partners then we will do crazy things!”

Joe said “No, no, no!” Carl said “Really!” Joe said “Really, really!” Carl said “Really, really, really?” Joe said “Just stop it Carl!!!”

When the teacher heard his loud scream, he made Joe go out.

Then Carl said, “Please…” Joe said “This is all your fault!

Fine, we’ll be partners.”

Then Carl said, “Yehey! Later, let’s go on my house and let’s have a sleepover!”

Joe said”Okay I will go.”

When it’s dismissal Joe didn’t go with Carl. Carl is finding Joe but Joe escaped.

The next day, Carl got mad at Joe. They started to make their plan for the activity. After 5 days, they were done planning their activity.

The teacher told them to go to their garden. Joe and Carl planned to plant the trees and to clean the garden.

“ Let’s change our plan. We’ll make it opposite! “Carl told Joe.

Joe said “ No !” Carl said “ You must follow what I will

say.’’ “What are you trying to do ?” Joe asked.Carl said “I’m hypnotizing you !” Joe said “ Okay. Let’s end your crazy

talks.” After 2hrs, they are already done with

their task.

The next day, they didn’t notice that they did the opposite way. They actually cut the trees down and dumped the garbage in the garden . Carl said “ Well, it’s up to us now. “ Joe said “ Oh, great. We’re going to spend cleaning this garden for a thousand years !” “ We don’t have a choice but to clean this garden.” Carl said.

Joe said “ Okay.” After 5 years Joe and Carl is already

done cleaning the garden.

The next day, the teacher is surprised of what Joe and Carl did to the garden.

The teacher said, “Joe and Carl, did you did this to the garden ?”

Joe said” Uhm, yes ?” “I really like it! I’m going to give you

two an award for cleaning our garden .” The teacher said.

“Thank you Teacher!” They exclaimed.

Yonah Isabel B. Maturan is a Grade 5 student in The International School for Children. When she was 6 years old she started love reading books, and editing videos. She is the editor of the story named “ Joe and Carl”.

Joseph Aron R. Baquiran, also a Grade 5 student in TISC likes playing online games and he never stops.

Zhan Ashley M. Herrera a grade 5 student in TISC. He doen’t believe in himself so his classmates doesn’t allow him to in the competitions. Joseph Aron and Zhan Ashley are the designers.
