PROJECT PROPOSALTitle of the project : Up-to-Date techniques and

strategies for in-service English language teachers

September 2010 – June 2011

Target groupSchool and university English language teachers from

Chisinau and neighboring districts

Goal of the project To promote up-to-date techniques and strategies of

teaching English To provide a number of ETRC users with the

necessary skills for using internet resources in their teaching

Description of the Project September 2010 – May 2011 one workshop per week for school teachers, one seminar per month for university lecturers during the Fall and Spring breaks we intend to

organize 4-day Schools for teachers.(The total number of workshops per year 2010-

2011 will be 52, both school constituting 18 workshops.)

host 4 events aimed at promoting American culture, customs and history; Halloween, Christmas, black History Month and St. Valentine’s Day.

Teachers’ Feedback Analysis September - “Modern Technologies in

Teaching English”; October - “Teaching English Grammar”; November - “Teaching Writing” December - “Culture and Traditions.”
