DEFINE/ STATE THE PROBLEM

DISCIPINE AND JUSTICE Discipline is the practice of training people to obey

rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience. C Dictionary)

It is also a systematic instruction intended to train a person.

It is sometimes literally called a disciple. (Wikipedia) Justice is the fairness or the protection of rights and

punishments of wrongs.

DETERMINE/ ENUMERATE PERTINENT CONSIDERATIONS

LAW ABOUT DISCIPLINE/JUSTICE CONSIDERATIONS

No to corporal punishment

Authorize the teacher to punish the child with parent’s consent.

Rules and regulations of the school as stated in the student handbook.

Disciplinary actions shall be instituted if the child engage in any of the following activities using corrective measures. First, second and third offense. ( Student Handbook)

SEEK / LIST POSSIBLE SOLUTION Discipline 1. Corrective measure should be implemented. 2. Conducting workshop such as counseling. 3. Anecdotal Records of misbehavior must be

properly documented. 4. Parents/ Parents Conference

Discipline/Mercy is a virtue to forgive sinners.

JUSTICE 1. Require to be punished.

2. Is receiving what one deserves

As for what one wants and not what he deserves

It is a free gift.

FOR DISCIPLINE The school shall have authority to make and enforce classroom and school regulations in a manner consistent with Seventh-day Adventist principles and discipline as set for in the scriptures .

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Education page 184 Let the child and youth be taught that every mistakes, every fault, every difficulty, conquered, becomes a stepping stone to better and higher thing.

Respectful, loving and obedient pupils or students.

Misbehaving and unruly children / teachers and administrators

WHEN?All through out the year.

WHERE?In and out of our school premises.

HOW?Following the corrective measure stated in Student’s Handbook depending on the activities he/she is involved.

PLAN FOR PREVENTION

1

1. Always remind the students what is stated in the Student’s Handbook.

2. Be consistent in giving disciplinary action with love.

3. Engage in students religious activities such as Character Building School, prayer band, sports development, singing group, pathfindering and others.
