Record labels & Institutions

That may produce, exhibit, and distribute our music video

MTA Records

One record label that would help produce our music video is MTA Records. MTA Records is a UK independent record label founded in 2009 by the group Chase & Status. MTA stands for “More Than Alot”. They specialize in “exceptional” music. MTA records release a wide variety of music such as Drum and Bass, Rap, Soul, Dubstep, and Deep House. They helped produce for famous EDM artist such as Ben Pearce (What I Might Do), Josh Butler, Nero, Redlight, Kove, and many other artist.

Why they might produce the video?

MTA Records will help the production of our video by funding it. This is because MTA Records helped produced the track Alive, and they are founded by Chase & Status who are the artist who developed the song. The success of their song also relies on the music video. If a good music video is created for them, it will help get more views thus generating more revenue. Therefore MTA Records is likely to invest in the development our our video.

RAM Records

• Ram records is a UK independent record label founded in 1992 by DJ Andy C. RAM Record specializes in solely Drum and Bass. They are a multi award winning organization for their activities and artist they have signed over the years. They help produced the number one Drum and Bass track in 2000, “Turbulance” by Moving Fusion, which won the Mercury Music Prize. RAM also has two sister labels. “Frequency” and “Program”. Many of RAM’s signees have found chart success over the years. They have signed artist such as Chase & Status, SubFocus, and Wilkinson.

Why they might help produce the video?

• RAM records might help produce the video by funding it because they played a part in producing the track. Similar to MTA Records, RAM might help fund the video because a good video might bring in more viewers and listeners, thus creating more revenue for the song. Since RAM records is the co-producing record label of the track, more views and listeners is beneficial for them. Thus giving them a good reason to invest in the production of the video.

YouTube• YouTube is the largest and most popular video-sharing

website in the world. It allows people and organizations to upload, view, and share videos. YouTube displays a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media videos; they show everything from video clips, TV clips, Music videos, to other contents such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos. Although most content has been uploaded by individuals, media corporations such as CBS, BBC, Hulu, Vevo and other organizations offer their materials via YouTube, as part of the YouTube partnership program.

Why they might exhibit our video?• YouTube is a perfect platform to put our video onto. It is the easiest

way for people to discover our video and to rack up viewing numbers, since YouTube is a well-known website that brings in 4 billion views each day. YouTube will help exhibit our video because if the video is a good one with a potential to get many views, they can make money off of it through advertising. When a video starts to generate a significant number of views, they start allowing external companies to advertise their products/services before the video. That is how YouTube makes money. Plus YouTube knows what target audience/market will be watching certain videos, so YouTube will place advertisements on videos that they know the target market will be watching. They also have a feature which recommends videos to people by recording the things they watch. Which means they can help direct and spread awareness of our video to people who like Drum and Bass or our target audience.

Vevo

• Vevo is a multinational video hosting service that hosts videos syndicating around the web. Like YouTube they make money off advertising revenue, which is shared with Google. They help advertise and spread awareness of music videos, while adding referral links to purchase the songs through Amazon Music and ITunes. They have a partnership with YouTube where they have many channels dedicated to music videos.

Why they might exhibit our video?

• Vevo might exhibit our video if it has a potential to generate many views. This is because of their way to generate revenue through YouTube views. YouTube has a deal with Vevo and many other companies/individuals, that for 1000 views they make $2(or so). If our video generated 60,000,000 views, Vevo will make a revenue of $120,000. So if Vevo believes that our video will have a large number of views, they will see it as profitable and exhibit it on their channel.
