Some animals sleep in the day and come out at night.Why do owls come out at night?They can hunt silently, with very good eyesight in the dark.

Lions are animals of the day. Why?They can see their prey well in daylight, they catch animals to near water holes and are not really afraid of any other animals

Animals in the winter

Some animals hibernate (sleep) through the winter when it is too cold and there is very little food. Example – frogsOther animals can survive the winter – Example - robins

Plants in the winter

Some plants live all year round – Example - Pine trees.Other plants die off in the winter and grow again in the spring – Example – Apple trees.
