WHAT IS CENTRES?

CENTRES is a multi-country project co-funded by

the European Commission, British Council and

eight organisations across Europe • CENTRES project is delivered in Czech Republic,

Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Slovenia

and the UK.

• The project creates a European forum for issues relating

to entrepreneurship education specific to the creative

industries and for sharing innovation and best

practice in this area.

WHAT DOES CENTRES AIM TO ACHIEVE?

• To promote models and methodology that can be used by schools and other

organisations delivering entrepreneurship education to develop pupils’ creativity

and entrepreneurship skills

• To promote ways in which to engage creative entrepreneurs / businesses

productively with schools as well as engage school-age students in practical

business opportunities in the creative industries

PROJECT OUTCOMES

• online knowledge bank of materials, models, tools,

methodologies and guidelines that can be used by

teachers and organisations working with this type of

skills development in schools

• Europe-wide online community of interest centred

on the knowledge bank

• recommendations to policy-makers on ways to

mainstream innovative practices in entrepreneurship

education

By the end of the project the network will have:

• increased the number of schools undertaking

entrepreneurial activity in partnership with creative

businesses

• increased the creativity and entrepreneurship skills of

young people

• increased the number of young people who choose a

career within the creative industries

• made a significant contribution to the development of

policy in entrepreneurship education

CENTRES UP-TO-DATE RESULTS

Pilot activities: • Pupils 500 -> Schools 40 -> Teachers 300 ->Wider audience (via FB/website/

YouTube) – over 40,000

• Key policy makers: Polish Minister of Education, Prime Minister of Slovenia,

Senior Policy Makers in Estonia
