Easy access to location. Actors will be arriving by car and there are three pay and display car parks located nearby, so therefore parking should not be an issue. Time schedule for shot should be as early as possible to eliminate the possibility of not being able to park the car. Ensure the actors are aware of the small charge required for parking.

Wallington shopping square is very small compared with its neighbouring Croydon and Sutton town centres. Location was chosen for that reason. Fewer shoppers, especially early in the morning. When filming awareness of others around is paramount to avoid any collisions or accidents. The floor was litter free and there were several public bins located in the square. Both the shops I planned to film outside, had a qualified on site first aider. Full signal registered on my mobile phone. I will make sure this is with

emergency me at the time of the shot and that it is fully charged.

Lighting Position of Sun Weather conditions

10.00am the sun was directly behind where I will need to film, so there will be no natural issue. Weather conditions for the actual shoot need to be considered. Rain could interrupt a schedule if it is too heavy. Weather forecasts need to be considered.

Sound Vehicle Traffic Aeroplane Music Escalators

Slight sound from nearby main road, but this will not interfere with the shoot, but add to the realism of the scene. No loud aircraft observed on site. No music heard from outside of the shops. Quite a noisy old escalator service, but this could add to the realism of the introduction and I could try to lower the noise level at the editing stage.

Space Area for filming The width of the square is approximately thirty metres, so there will be ample room for recording my introduction without inconveniencing members of the public.

Electricity Supply

No outside electricity supply in the square

An assistant in Richard Mark Men’s Wear told me that in an emergency I could recharge my battery there. However, I intend to go with a fully charged camera to eliminate any wasted time, as the actors will not want to wait around, while the battery is charging.

Toilet Facilities Wet floors Inadequate cleaning

Public toilet facilities located near to the library. I will have to make my actors aware of the possible

facilities hazards prior to filming. I checked out the female facilities and this is checked by an attendant, on a regular basis. Understandably I was unable to view the male facilities.

Refreshments There is a cafe located within the square, so refreshments are easily attainable.

Assessment

Headley Avenue, Wallington

Availability Agreed filming location

Accessibility Parking spaces The protagonist will be arriving by car. The road is in a cul-de-sac and parking can be difficult at times. However, there is a driveway available.

Health and Safety Considerations

Wires Small Props Bed

To be aware of any trailing wires around the desk area, during the bedroom scene. No dangerous props will be used during filming Careful instruction should be given to the actor prior to lifting and lowering of the bed

Lighting The bedroom is south east facing and there can be overpowering sunlight first thing in the morning.

This is a good issue, because although I want a certain amount of natural light, I intend to use bright artificial lighting to intensify the protagonist putting on his makeup, rather in the same way a stereotypical female would.

Sound Not applicable

Space There is not a lot of clear floor area.

When filming I will need to consider my angles very carefully

do not want my image to be reflected in the mirror.

Electricity Supply

There is ample electricity supply and sockets in the room for filming, but a fully charged battery would be preferable.

Toilet Facilities Clean and adequate facilities

Refreshments Can be provided on request
