*Luanco is a parish and a village, capital of Gozon Asturian council in Spain . The parish has a population of 9,887 inhabitants, of which 5,242 correspond to the village (2011).

*It was mainly fishing village, but in recent decades has developed through tourism.

*It is located between Candás and Avilés, a few kilometers from Cabo Peñas.

*In the nineteenth century Luanco becomes a leisure center summery. The opening of a spa and a bathhouse on the beach of La Ribera in 1890.

*The village has a port, the port of Gaius, in 1903.

* The boardwalk was built between 1915 and 1930.

*The inauguration of the Teatro del Carmen in 1913 made possible the advent of activities like theater, zarzuela, the couplet, dance dominical and the cinema.

*In 1929, it opened another theater, the Teatro Moderno.

*Parochial church of St. Mary of the Annunciation.

*The house of the Pola Menendez.
