WHAT ARE DREAMS?
• Dreams are a
combination of images,
sensations, memories
from the past, and other
wacky things!
HOW DO YOU DREAM?
• When impulses are detected
from our conscious mind, our
cerebral cortex doesn’t know
what it means and freaks out and
tries to create a cohesive story
creating a dream!
WHAT’S LUCID DREAMING?
• Lucid dreaming is when you’re dreaming and you
know that you’re awake.
• Greek philosopher Aristotle observed: "Often when
one is asleep, there is something in consciousness
which declares that what then presents itself is but
a dream”

WHAT’S R.E.M. SLEEP?
• R.E.M. or Rapid Eye Movement
sleep lasts between 10 minutes
to an hour and happens a few
times a night. R.E.M. sleep is
just what it sounds like. Your
eyes jump around a lot under
your eyelids.
WHO WAS SIGMUND FREUD?
• Sigmund Freud was born on May 6th, 1856 in the
Austrian Empire
• He studied Neurology, Psychotherapy, and
Psychoanalysis.
• He wrote a book called the Interpretation of
Dreams.
