• Successful completion meets the underpinning academic requirements of the CIPD advanced standards
• Subject to application ( and professional competence/ experience elements of application) you can become a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
( Students on MA programme will need to join the CIPD and pay an annual subscription to qualify for membership/ benefits)

Content of MA HRM
• Part time over 3 years( Students can exit after 2 years with a HE Diploma which meets the CIPD academic
underpinning for the advanced standards)
• Year 1- The context for HRM, Leading and managing people, People and talent management
• Year 2- Reward Management, Employee relations, Human Resource Development
• Year 3- Dissertation
Assessment on MA HRM
• Year 1 - involves 2 examinations, 1 assignment and the compilation of a portfolio of evidence
• Year 2- Involves 3 assignments and the completion of a research report
• Year 3 – Dissertation
Entry requirements A candidate must satisfy one of the following conditions:• i) hold an initial degree of the University of Wales, or another approved
degree awarding body.• ii) hold a non-graduate qualification which the University deems to be
of satisfactory standard for the purpose of post-graduate admission. • iii) have relevant work experience that is deemed to compensate the
lack of formal qualifications and have held a position of management responsibility for a minimum of three years.
A candidate who has already achieved Grad CIPD Status from the current or previous CIPD Professional Development Scheme may be given permission to proceed direct onto the dissertation
