MAGAZINE ADVERT ANALYSIS
Image of the bands album cover on the bottom of the advert, making it noticeable to fans so that they know what album they are looking for.
The band’s name is positioned on the top left with bold font, printed in white and the letters are all in capitals so that it stands out. Attracts audience and lets people know who the band is.
There are lots of writing so it will take time for the audience to read
There is only an image of the singer which may suggest that he is the leader of the band or more known than the other and members
It has information about what is involved in the album, such as a DVD including extra features and music videos
Gives information to fans about what sort of tracks are on the album, including some new songs
Well know song (“Wake Me Up When September Ends“) is used to promote the album which can also appeal to fans that aren't big fans of Green Day
Jessie J’s make-up and clothing are in black which may imply that the songs in the album might be dark or serious.
Her name on the advert is positioned in the middle so that it draws the audience’s attention
There isn't a lot of writing so the audience can read it quickly
Her name is printed in gold and bold writing which make it stand out from the black make up and clothing
Her name is placed over the picture which makes it more stand out and draws maximum attention towards the name.
There is an artist that is features in a song which can appeal fans from that particular artist
They have placed a website so that the audience can visit it and get more information
Well know songs (“Who you are” and “Price Tag”) are used to promote the album which can also appeal to fans that aren't big fans of Jessie J but likes the popular song that is used to promote the album
The name of the album is in bold text at the bottom, accompanying it is a line of text telling the viewer about the songs that are featured on the album.
The band name is positioned at the top of the advert with white colour to stand out the background

The main image of the magazine print is a close up of the band member of Kings of Leon’s faces. This is sectioned off into four portraying them placed together as part man part bird. The creates a different and non being form about their physical appearance
The text 'out now' is in a different colour to the rest of the advert, this is make it stand out for the rest of the piece as this information is key in selling the album.
Well know songs (“Sex On Fire” and “Use Somebody”) are used to promote the album which can also appeal to fans that aren't big fans of the band but likes the popular song that is used to promote the album. For example; the song called “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody”.
