In 1918, in Champaran, Gandhi proposed non-violence,

mass civil disobedience. While it was strictly non-violent.

March 1922, tried for sedition,

and sentenced to six years'

imprisonment.

In 1948 Mahatma Gandhi was At 5:17

PM on 30 January shot dead by

Nathuram Godse. Gandhi was on his

way to address a prayer meeting when

he was shot three times. The reason

that Godse shot Gandhi was because

he had been kind and gentle to Pakistan

government and people. So a extremist

Hindu group that Godse had contacts

with hired him and his co-conspirator

Narayan Apte to silence Gandhi.

where executed on November 15, 1949.
