Introduction Hyderabad is an ancient city, located in the south of

India, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad has a very interesting story behind its success in India of being one of the most happening city in the country. Environmental Factors Environment wise, Hyderabad has different temperatures

depending on the season. In winter, the maximum temperature rises up to 22.2 degrees, and the minimum temperature goes down to about 11 degrees. In the summer, it heatens the city so much, which brings the temperature to about 34 degrees and minimum is 31 degrees. One more thing that adds up to the environment section are the LAKE AND CROPS. There is one major lake in Hyderabad called The Hussein Sagar Lake. The tank, fed by streams originating from the Musi River, supplies water to Hyderabad City. Second, there are different types of crops grown in Hyderabad, that are even distributed to neighboring cities, that don’t get a lot of these crops. Here are some: Rice, Dhal, Spices, Green vegetables, etc. Some industries produce these things that are only found in few places of India like, Jute products, season related spices, etc. Some other industries are related to engineering, cement, bricks, etc.

Historical FactorsIn the olden times, people used to come due to different reasons to

settle down in Hyderabad. Here are a few reasons:1) Hyderabad delivered a variety of spices, and materials for saris (the

national costume of India) to the neighboring cities. It has continued to carry this passion even now, and I believe that it may continue for a long period of time.

2) Hyderabad is really famous for its recipe if Biryani. Biryani is an Indian dish made from seasoned rice, and meat, fish, and/or vegetables. It is highly preferred in the southern parts of India. It is often served with diced lemon, or onions, to give an even spicier and sour taste to the dish.

3) Hyderabad has companies and factories that are one of the most popular ones in India. Those ones of cement, rice, sugar, chemicals, etc, are really popularly used. Companies include computer engineering, constructing companies, etc. People come to Hyderabad from other places to work for these companies.

The food People go crazy for the food in Hyderabad. In Andhra

Pradesh, people eat a wide range of only spicy food. Most of the dishes are really spicy. The recipes actually descend from the Kings and Queens in the early 17-1800s’. Some of these famous foods in Hyderabad are-

a) Masala Dosas: A crispy layer, in which a thin batter made from pure lentils and rice blended with water

b) Pani Puri (Gol Gappa): Pani puri comprises a hollow “Puri”, fried crisp filled with a mixture of water, tamarind, chili, chat masala, potato, onion and chickpeas. The size is big enough to fit our mouth. Most often eaten at breakfast or as a snack, idlis are usually served in pairs with chutneys, sambar, or other accompaniments. Mixtures of crushed dry spices such as milagai podi are the preffered condiment for idlis eaten on the go.
