I. REFLECTI ON AND SELF – EVALUATION MDD Standard 6 • The teacher candidate identifies the main things learned in this practicum and ways in which this learning has informed their professional development needs, reflecting on the meaning, values, and purposes that will orient his or her professional life. 4.1 Reflect on the main things you have learned about teaching and how these relate to your understanding of the profession and the values that guide your work. The most important thing for me was to get to know the students, because when you accomplish it the work for a teacher becomes easier as well as having a good relationship with them, it makes the teacher more empathic and the students feel more comfortable and confident. On the other hand, I learnt that being well prepared is also another advantage and a relevant issue for teachers. Besides, making challenging lessons and aims for students is also a relevant part of the job, because you cannot always think that your students are not able to do difficult tasks or that they are not going understand you if you speak English, if a teacher never encourage the students to be in contact with the language they will never know that they can do it. 4.2 Describe one or two areas of professional growth (e.g. instructional strategies, content knowledge).

I. REFLECTION AND SELF – EVALUATION

MDD Standard 6

• The teacher candidate identifies the main things learned in this practicum and ways in which this learning has informed their professional development needs, reflecting on the meaning, values, and purposes that will orient his or her professional life.

Giving instructions is one of the most important labor that a teacher needs to always improve. It makes the difference between if your students do or not an activity or task, because I realized that when they do not understand what to do they get easily frustrated and unwilling to accomplish anything asked by the teacher.
