page of a new school college magazine. Main Task – Produce the front page,

contents and double page spread of a new music magazine.

Evaluation – PowerPoint presentation or blog

Section A: Textual Analysis and Representation Question 1 deals with the technical

aspects of the moving image Focus on – Camera angle, shot

Institutions and AudiencesContent

The study of one industry will cover the following topics:

Issues raised by media ownership Importance of cross media convergence and

synergy in production, distribution and marketing

The technologies that have been introduced in recent years

The significance of proliferation in hardware and content for institutions and audiences.

The importance of technological convergence The issues raised in the targeting of national

and local audiences The ways in which your own experiences of

media consumption illustrate wider patterns and trends of audience behaviour

Media Studies Tasks What is the Media? What function does the media

perform in society? Learn a minimum of 4 points about

the magazine industry from sheet A. What do you learn about the
