UNIQUE TO METRO DEAF SCHOOL

• Bilingual Program – ASL/English languages

• Using two languages promotes higher levels of language and literacy development

• Higher levels of ASL proficiency = Higher levels of English literacy

Students are taught the linguistic structure of both languages, both languages are equally valued.
