Migration is the movement by people from one place to another with the intentions of settling temporarily or
permanently in the new location
Forms of migration
• Rural urban migration• Forced or involuntary migration• Impelled migration• Seasonal migration• Long and short term migration
Advantages
• If a person cannot find a job in his local area, the best option may be to look for a job in another place. A migrant may have a job, but he may want to move to an area with better living conditions and more economic activity. Some places offer more educational opportunities for career advancement.

A variety of theoretical economic models can be employed but the results are a function of the assumptions that are made at the beginning, which are they subject to question
