ARCHITECTURE- Architects used the classical elements (arches, columns).

- Architects designed buildings in the Herrerian style, named after Juan de Herrera.

- Austere style with little decoration.LITERATURE

- There were some exceptional writers like Saint Teresa and Saint Juan de la Cruz.

- Both wrote about mystical and spiritual topics.

- Garcilaso de la Vega wrote poetry.
