ProPublica: Dialysis Story

• Investigative journalism from a nonprofit news organization• Topic: Kidney dialysis, treatment centers• Government data about the centers was

available to medical providers but not to the patients or the public• After a three-year struggle, ProPublica

succeeded in getting the government to release the data• Dialysis patients can now search and compare
