Eligible courses at City
• BSc Midwifery
• BSc Nursing (all streams)
• BSc Radiography (all streams)
• BSc Speech and Language Therapy
Eligibility and residency requirements
• Ordinarily resident in the UK, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man throughout the previous three years;
• Be ordinarily resident in any UK country on the first day of the academic year of the course; AND
• Have ‘settled status’ in the UK within the meaning of the Immigration Act 1971.
Means tested bursary
• Rate depends on duration and household income
• Bursary rate is reduced if household income is ≥ £24,279
• First instalment covers two months, then paid monthly

Practice Placement Expenses
• Placements at hospitals and community healthcare centres
• Must be in receipt of the non-means tested grant
• Daily cost of journey to placement must be more than cost of
daily journey to University
• Accommodation costs can be included where it is not practical
to travel daily to placement
