5. Mission and Technology Goal
District Mission
Northside Independent School District is committed to the belief that children come first. The mission of the district is to encourage each student to strive for personal excellence and to ensure all students learn to function, contribute, and compete as responsible individuals in an everchanging world.
Goal for Technology
The current NISD Strategic Plan includes a priority goal for technology to: "Develop and sustain a dynamic, integrated infrastructure of human, technological and management resources that empowers all stakeholders to enable students to learn to their fullest potential."

12. Looking Forward
The NISD Board of Trustees have called for a $535 million bond election to address the District's continuing enrollment growth as well as the need to keep existing schools up to standard.
