• Aim is to provide facilities for their members to use and enjoy
• They are formed for idealistic purposes which may be educational, religious, charitable or social welfare of the people at large.
• Non profit organisations daily operations are conducted by an elected board of directors

– Non profit are not owned by businesses – they obtain funds from contributions, membership
dues, program revenues, fundraising events, public and private grants, and investment income
