INTRODUCTION

As a member of a uniform group, we must respect our uniform and obey the etiquette when wearing it. We must show pride whenever we put on our uniform as it symbolizes the pride of the uniform group we are in. As members of NPCC, we must even show greater respect to our uniform as our uniform are of close remembrance to that of the Police force. Hence in NPCC, we emphasize high level of discipline especially when we are in our uniform.

HOW TO PREPARE MY UNIFORM?


BERET (BOYS & GIRLS)


1. Crest above left eye2. Clean and free of dust3. Seasoned with fold on right side of crest(placed under mattress/heavy objects)4. Colour must not vary too much from navy blue

*** ALWAYS WEAR YOUR BERET WHEN YOUR ARE NOT IN A

SHELTERED AREA!

SHIRT (BOYS)

Collar should be standing

Ironed sleeve lines should start from back of the shoulder lapels


Press studs should be sewn onto the shirt pockets and clipped on

SHIRT (BOYS)


Shirt to be tucked in till at least 2/3 of the belt can be seen

FRONT BACK

SHIRT (BOYS)


Collar should be flat

BLOUSE (GIRLS)

• Ironed sleeve lines should start from back of the shoulder lapels


Pockets must not be seen when tucked in

Buttons should be in line with belt buckle

Similar rule to shirt for buttons (upright) and formation sign

White Singlet MUST be worn underneath and should not be seen from the front

NAME TAG (BOYS) Name tag should be centralized 1cm (1finger packing) above the pocket

Name tag should be in line with first button and centralized at the right portion of the blouse

Aligned neatly according to the diagram

Should not overlap each other and should just touch the sleeve or pocket line

For badges on your left, always align to centre of the pocket if the row is not filled with 4 badges

BADGES (BOYS & GIRLS)

Belt buckle should be in the centre of the body and aligned with the buttons

Belt loop should be 2 finger widths away from the end of the belt

BELT (GIRLS)


BELT (BOYS)

Belt should run through all belt loops in anti-clockwise direction • Belt loop should be in between the first and second loop of the pants and 2 finger widths away from the end of the belt • Belt holes and side of the belts are to be black


Belt buckle should be in the centre of the body and aligned to the trousers zip.

Together with the shirt, all 3 parts are to be aligned

There should be no iron lines or creases

Its length should be at 3 finger widths above the back of the knee when worn

The skirt should not be too tight or too short

Shorts should be worn underneath the skirt due to modesty reasons.

(Must not be seen from the outside)

Zip of skirt should be in line with the seam line of the blouse

Should be altered such that half of the boots will be covered No gathers should be seen at the boots

Pants should not be too tight or too baggy

Should be worn at the waist and not on the hips

Only standard NPCC HQ boots allowed No PVC boots All sides of the boots should be

polished (must be able to see your teeth in them)

Laces tied with chain knot and tucked into socks

BOOTS MUST BE TIGHTENED A hard, solid coat of shoe polish

maintains the leather and prevents damage from wear and tear

Only standard NPCC HQ boots allowed No PVC boots Laces tied in horizontal mannerAll sides of the boots polished and

clean at all times (must be able to see your teeth in them)

NO accessories except for 1 pair of transparent ear sticks for female cadets Hair must comply with school rules

NO tinted/coloured hair

NO items in the pants / skirt pockets Black spectacle hooks to be worn AT ALL TIME for those with spectacles



Male Cadets Keep your hair short and clean NO facial hair Hair should not touch the ears and

collar Female Cadets Wear only BLACK hair pins / ties / clips Wear a hair net and tie up your long

hair! Fringe to be pinned up


UNIFORM INSPECTION PROCEDURES


IF YOU ARE PREPARING FOR UNIFORM INSPECTION:

Sedia yourself, salute (If SSGT Rank and Above ONLY) and greet the person inspecting your uniform

By Saying “GoodAfternoon, Sir/Ma’am” Remain at the attention position until

further instruction is given When the inspection is complete, return

to Senang Diri and say “Thank you, Sir/Ma’am”

If there is a need to correct any mistakes, fall out to do so


RULES FOR BEHAVIOUR


TURN OUT & BEARING

Sit, stand and walk upright Do not drag your feet when you walk Do not place hands on belt Do not fold your arms across your chest Do not ‘stand on one leg’ Do not cross your legs


WHEN IN FULL UNIFORM/HALF UNIFORM:

DO NOT sit on the ground unless permission is given

DO NOT carry any items(e.g. bag) on your shoulders when you wearing FULL-U

DO NOT play games or sports

DO be disciplined and behave appropriately


AT ALL TIMES…

In or out of uniform, in or out of NPCC, DO behave properly and show

respect at all times. YOU hold the name of NPCC, whether

You are wearing uniform or not, so discipline

yourself at all time.
