How to create a class on English Attack!

Start by creating a User Account or

Logging in.

If you are already logged in to

Facebook, you can quickly create

your account via your FB account.

If you are already have an account,

log in here.

To create an account with your

e-mail address, click here.

If you choose to create a new

account with your e-mail address, this is what you

will see.

This is where you must enter your

Teacher code

You must now check your e-mail in-box

and click on the account validation link that has been sent to you by e-mail. You cannot

access the site without clicking on

that link.

Proceed to fill out the form.

Click to complete the account

creation.

If you see your User Name here, it means

you are logged on.

Now click on “My School”

Click here to create a new class

Give a name to your class (for example, “Intermediate Level 2”

When finished, click here.

Fill in any useful information (when the

class meets for example)

This is the confirmation that your new class has been created.

Now you will see the name of the new class appear here.

Click on it.

Click here to get rid of pop-up message.

You will see that the name of the “Active” class is the same as the one you just clicked on.

Now it is time to start adding students to your new class. Start by clicking on ”Students"

Now click here to start adding students from

those who have already created an account on

English Attack with their access codes purchased

by the school.

This tells you that you have not yet added any students

to this class.

Remember: only those students in your school who have created a user account - using the access codes purchased by your school - can

be added to a class. If one of your students does not appear here, make sure he or she has created a User Account using a valid code.

If the list of students is very large, you can search for a student by first name, last name, or e-mail address.

Click in the small box to the left of each student to add them to

the new class.

These students are in your school but not yet in this class.

To add one of these students, click on the box to the left of his or her name. Then

click on “Apply”

How to remove one or more students from a class

This is the current list of students enrolled in this class.

Tick the box for each student that you wish to remove from

the class.

When you have finished, click here.

How to assign a Learning Unit to a class

Make sure that the name of the selected class is the right one.

Ahora puede asignar ejercicios vídeo (Video Booster) o diccionarios visuales (Photo Vocab) a cada estudiante en la clase.

Ellos recibirán la asignación a través de correo electrónico y también podrán verlo en su página “Mi Escuela.”

Now you can assign video exercises (Video Boosters) or visual dictionaries (Photo Vocabs) to the students in this class. They will receive notification of the assignment via e-mail and can also see

the active assignment on their “MySchool” page.

If you have chosen to assign a Video Exercise, you will now be taken to the Video Boosters main page. You can assign any Video Booster

on the site. There are various ways to search for the right one:

Click on a theme to see all the Video Boosters in that category.

Enter the name of a film, TV series, song or documentary in the Search Box

Search by difficulty level: Beginner, Easy, Intermediate,

Advanced.

When you see a video exercise you would like to assign, click on it.

If you decide you want to assign this to your class, click here.

You can try the Video Booster for yourself by clicking here.

You now have the option of assigning this content to just the “active” class, or

to several of your classes.

Once you have finished, click here.

This confirms that the selected exercise has been assigned to the

class.

To go back to the Teacher Tools, close the exercise window….

…and click once more on “MySchool”

"To continue, click on the desired class again…

You can see here now that this video exercise

has been added to the work

assigned to your learners.

Here you can select how your learners will receive the assignment (you can

select both)

In this area you can give instructions about the assignment, such as

“Complete this exercise by next Tuesday and come to

class prepared to talk about the clip.”

Don’t forget to click here to actually send the assignment to

your learners.

How to verify that your students havedone the exercises you have assigned

Here you can see that 2 of the 5 students in this class

have completed the assignment, and their

names & scores.

Here you can see the names of the students who have NOT completed the assignment.

To start, select “Photo Vocabs” in the Assignments interface

You can select a Category and see all the Photo Vocabs in this category.

Use the Search Box to find a specific word, phrase, or subject.

If you chose Photo Vocabs, you will now see the Photo Vocabs main page. You can choose to assign any one you want. You can search for

them in two ways.

When you see a visual dictionary you want to select, click on it.

Click here to assign to your class.

Check the visual dictionary by clicking on each vocabulary item.

You now have the option of assigning this Photo Vocab to the active Class, or to several

of your classes.

When you have finished, click here.

This confirms that the exercise has been assigned

To go back to your Teacher interface, “close” the learning unit…

… and click again on “MySchool”

You are now back on your Teacher Tools page.

To continue, select again the desired class.

assignment.

in particular.
