Unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to talk to my grandma about this project. I did speak to my mother and this will only be based as far as her generation. I spoke to other members in the class who who’s stories go very back. So, this project will be based on my mothers generation and the way she came to the United States.

In part 3 of this project, I need to use vocabulary words to describe my family’s history. I will use main points in the chapters to explain the way my family lived, they way they came to the United States, and their opportunities here in the United States.

My mother told me that her grandparents have lived there as long as she could remember.

Her grandmother worked in Quaternary Sector as a teacher while her grandfather worked in Tertiary Sector as a constructions worker.

How did my family come to live here?

My mother lived in a Major City with elecritcity and water.

She also describe it as a nice work community and a Metropolitan area because of the employment ties through the city.

What was my family’s living situation?

My mom went on to tell me she was very smart and was inspired by her grandmother to become a teacher as well.

My mother graduated college and is now a teacher in the U.S because my grandparents brought her to the U.S To expand her Education.

This is called The Immigration ladder because my mothers life is better than her grandparents because of the area she lived in now.

My grandfather used to be a teacher as well.

He became so passionate about working in the Quaternary Sector that he would travel to new schools and bring his family along.

My mother told me she attended a new school every year till high school.

My family has always been Catholic, and their Religion has always been a huge factor in their lives.

Our religion is a tradition in our family that has been passed down for centuries.

She continue to go to church every Sunday, but my mother tells me she has seen some Transformations of the religion through her years. Such as changing the tense of scripture.

My mother and her family were given a pathway to citizenship and were given the chance to better their lives.

A very important Political Act was The Ronald Regan Immigration Act which gave my family citizenship and the opportunity to go to college and live the American dream.

My mother’s side of the family came in the Fourth Wave of Migration.

A push factor was my grandfather. He had become so caught up in his work he neglected the family.

A Pull Factor was a better Education system for my mom.

My family came straight to E Monte, which is an Ethnic Neighborhood

Mostly everyone there is Mexican and they predominately share the same Culture.

My grandmother has been living in the same house since she immigrated here.

With the terms of the textbook and family history part three worksheet I was abled to detail my family’s activities and experiences to this course. My family history connected to the concepts of this course, and so this concludes part three of my Family History Project.
