¿Por qué has elegido un colegio
en Andalucía? I chose a school in
Andalusia because I had been to
Andalusia before and I loved it. I
love the Mediterranean lifestyle,
the food and the weather and the
people here are very friendly.
¿Te gusta la
comida española?
Yes I love Spanish
food. I can’t say one
favourite food
because I eat
everything. My
favourite food in
general is tomatoes.
¿Echas de menos a
tu familia? Yes, I
do miss my family but I speak to
them a lot on Skype which makes
it easier.
¿Te gusta enseñar inglés? Yes I
like teaching English although I
had never taught English before
and sometimes it’s difficult
because English is a difficult
language to learn.
¿Qué c iudades españo las
conoces? I have been to all the
main cities in Andalusia. I would
love to visit some cities in the
north.
¿Qué idiomas hablas? ¿Cómo los
has aprendido? I speak English,
Spanish and Italian. I studied
Spanish at school
and now I study
Italian and Spanish
at university.
¿Cómo es la vida
en Inglaterra? Life
in England is very
different to life in
Spain. We eat
dinner and go to
bed much earlier. The children
stay at school to eat lunch and
have classes in the afternoon. The
people are very polite and of
course the weather is different,
it’s a lot colder there than it is
here, and it rains a lot.
¿Cuál es tu lugar favorito en
Inglaterra? My favourite place in
England is in Cornwall, in the south.
{{I like teaching
English although
I had never
taught English
before||.
Continuando con la labor de conocer un poco más a distintas personas de todos los sectores de
nuestra comunidad educativa, hemos decidido entrevistar a Rebecca Golder, nuestra auxiliar
de conversación de este curso, la primera que es inglesa en los años que lleva abierto el colegio.
Estas fueron sus amables respuestas a preguntas hechas por alumnos/as de 3º y 4º de Primaria.

My family and I always go there
on holiday. It’s really beautiful and
the beaches are
very pretty.
¿Cómo es tu
familia? There are
four of us in my
family. My mum is
called Nicky, my
dad is called Adam
and my sister is called Katy. My
sister is older than me. She is 23
years old.
¿Cómo es vuestro presidente?
T h e P r i m e
Minister is called
David Cameron
and I think he is
relatively popular
among the people
and he has done
things to help
the country.
People like him
because he has a
lovely family and seems very
family-orientated.
¿Cuáles son vuestras comidas
típicas? It’s difficult to describe
typical English food. We have fish
and chips, steak and kidney pie,
scones with jam and clotted
cream. There is also the typical
English breakfast with eggs,
sausages, bacon and beans. Of
course we don’t always eat this; we
eat many other things too.
¿Es difícil aprender español? Yes
it can be but it’s like learning any
foreign language
which can be
difficult. Spanish
can be difficult
because the verbs
are complicated.
¿Cuál es tu
ciudad española
favorita? ¿Por qué? I don’t have a
favourite Spanish city because I
want to visit more. If I had to
choose from the cities I have
already visited I would choose
Granada because
I think it’s very
beautiful and
interesting.
¿En qué quieres
trabajar de
mayor? I don’t
know what I
want to do when
I’m older. When
I was younger I wanted to study
law and become a lawyer but now
I’m not so sure.
¿Qué te gusta hacer en tu
tiempo libre? In my free time I
like to do a lot of sport. I also like
to cook and spend time with my
family and friends.
{{Spanish can be
difficult because
the verbs are
complicated||.

Aquí vamos a

O nce upon a time there was a King and a Queen. They lived in a lovely golden
castle and had a beautiful daughter, Candela. But she was very unhappy. She
never laughed or smiled. „We will give an unicorn to the person who can make
Candela happy‟, said the Queen. A musician came and played the harp, a fairy said a
magic spell, and a joker came and told jokes, but Candela did not smile or laugh.
A young gardener came to work at the Queen‟s
castle. He came with his little parrot. The little parrot
liked to play. One day Candela saw the parrot and started
to smile- then she laughed.
The Queen heard her daughter and saw the parrot.
The parrot was happy to get an unicorn!
Candela Écija Navarro. 3ºA
I was staying with my friend in an old house in the forest. One night I wanted
to go out. „Where are you going?‟ said my friend. „To the forest‟, I said. „But
it‟s getting dark! And a storm is coming. All the bats come out when there is
a storm. Don‟t go near them. And don‟t touch them! I went out and
saw lots of bats. I wasn‟t scared. I went near them and touched
them. Then I remembered what my friend had said.
Too late! My teeth turned red and my skin
was covered with spiders. I screamed and ran into the forest.
In the middle of the forest I saw a dragon. Now I live with the
dragon, and when it‟s dark and stormy I go into the forest and
scare people. Maybe I will come out and scare you! Ha ha ha. Marcos Fernández Bergillos. 3ºC
It is the year 3034. We are on our way to visit Sweet Earth, a planet in a
faraway galaxy. Our Golden 11 spaceship flies for months past planets,
stars and galaxies, then we arrive. We open the door and look out-Sweet
Earth is very sweet-. There is an alien behind a rock. It is ugly and purple. „Help
me!‟ shouts the ugly, purple alien. „Some plants from another planet have killed
everybody but me. I need to escape!‟
Suddenly we see plants. We all run to the Golden 11 spaceship and jump in.
We pull the ugly, purple alien in the ship and quickly fly away.
The plants are below. We fly back to Earth and the ugly, purple
alien teaches us about Sweet Earth and the faraway galaxy.
