What are the phrasal verbs?
• Phrasal verbs are idiomatic expressions that are formed by combining verbs with prepositions or adverbs. This results in new phrasal verbs with a very different meaning than it gives us the dictionary for individual verbs.
• Example: put something off• verb

• Turn off: It uses when you wan switch off the light
• Example: where the light turns off?
• Ask out: invite on a date
• Example: Lorena asked Carlos out to dinner

• Example: I asked around but nobody has seen my bag.
• call something off: cancel
• Example: Jason called the wedding off because he wasn't in love.
• calm down:relax after being angry
• Example: You are still mad. You need to calm downbefore you drive
• do something over:do again
• Example: My teacher wants me todo my essay overbecause she doesn't like my topic.
• go back: return to a place
• Example: I have to go back home and get my lunch.
• grow up :become an adult
• Example: When Jack grows uphe wants to be a fireman.
• wake up: stop sleeping
• Example: We have to wake upearly for work on Monday.
• run away: leave unexpectedly, escape
• Example: The child ran away from home and has been missing for three days.
