Pioneer Day Branding
Pioneer Day The Sedona Heritage Museum offers
a two hour educational program with hands-on experiences for local school children. The Pioneer Day program is
geared to the fourth grade local history cur-
riculum, but can be adapted for other grade
levels.
Activities include bread/biscuit baking and branding demonstrations.
The children will learn about the early settlers of Sedona, the movie
industry and the making of Western movies, and the life of the
real cowboys.
Since the Jordan farm was a commercial apple and peach
orchard, seeing the apple grad-ing machine sorting our
"Spalding" apples is a highlight for many of our young visitors.
We offer Pioneer Day free
to area schools; however,
openings are limited . Early reservations are appreciated.
Please call the
Museum at 282-7038
for more information.
